 Professor Mohamed BAKHOUYA

A Blockchain-based IoT platform for enabling Sustainable and Green Mobility

Abstract: Recently, most countries are moving towards the development and the deployment of sustainable and green solutions. The main aim is to handle the Worldwide pressure are facing on fossil fuels while decreasing greenhouse gas (GHF) emission. The electrification of the transportation sector, via the integration of battery electric-powered vehicles (BEV), is one of the solutions, which could help in reducing GHG emission. In the frame of our recent research work, we are investigating data-driven optimization (i.e., IoT/Big data technologies) and reinforcement learning techniques together with incentive strategies, via the use of blockchain, in a holistic platform for adaptive BEVs charging/discharging scheduling. In this talk, we shed more light on the potential of the platform and its related technologies (e.g., IoT, Blockchain, Data analytics) for continuous and real-time data monitoring, data processing and predictive control for smart and green mobility.
